Fasset is delighted to be confirmed as a main sponsor for this year’s British Heart Foundation (BHF) ‘Hampshire Harbours Bike Ride’.
National facilities and property management company, Fasset has taken its support for the BHF to the next level this year by extending its support of this annual summer cycling challenge by agreeing to be a main sponsor.
Now in its 27th year, the previously named ‘Round the Harbours’ is this year adding in a 60-mile challenge to its programme alongside the usual 30-mile event. Participants are encouraged to fundraise for their efforts, this being a major source of income for the charity.
Langstone Technology Park has for many years been one of the main venue points for starters, finishers and riders along the way. Taking in some breath-taking scenery along the coastline, the 40-acre business location in Havant offers riders free parking, refreshments, security bike tagging and finisher medals.
Many of the businesses at Langstone encourage staff to enter this event; spurred on by employees such as Receptionist Mike Bartholomew, who has participated in every race to date and raised hundreds of pounds along the way.
Speaking about the sponsorship, Gary Medlow, MD said: “Having offered Langstone as a venue for this event for many years, I have seen first-hand what a well-supported and well managed event this is. A few years a large corporate sponsorship pulled out and participants did not get a t-shirt and this was missed. I am delighted to be able to extend the Fasset sponsorship and bring these back; and I look forward to seeing a swarm of red hit the Hampshire coastline in support of such an outstanding charity.”
Aramark is kindly sponsoring refreshments at the race day event.
