A new Fasset-run business park near Towcester is close to calling ‘full house’ at its serviced offices.
 Best Network Asia, which provides marketing services in Asia, and human resources (HR) and employment law consultancy Team HR are the latest two occupiers at Caswell Science & Technology Park.
They are among 11 firms who have signed up to 31 work stations at Caswell House, a Grade II-listed former country house with sweeping views of rolling countryside and a lake.
Best Network Asia arrives this Tuesday (December 1) while Team HR joins the day before. They have an office each, with two work stations in each one.
Caswell Science & Technology Park, just off the A43, is a 25-acre site comprising of 170,000 sq ft mixed-used office, manufacturing and laboratory space and managed by regional technology parks specialist Fasset.
Diane Partington, Fasset’s on-site sales executive, said: “With the latest arrivals, we are close to calling ‘full house’ on our serviced offices at Caswell House – there is only one two-desk office left.
“There may well be the commercial impetus for us to convert other space on the park into serviced offices, depending on demand.”
She added: “We now have nearly 35 people at Caswell House since our first occupier moved in 12 months ago, with 185 people on site in total.
“That is no mean feat, bearing in mind the worst global recession in living memory.
“What we’re seeing is a growth in start-ups, sometimes funded by redundancy packages, and the rise of outsourced companies, which lowers the employment costs of larger companies.
“Our tenants say they are drawn to the superb facilities here, which include a reception and mail service, security, free parking and a centralised restaurant, coupled with competitively priced flexible leases.
“Caswell is emerging as a thriving business hub, drawing in companies from across a wide area.”
Best Network Asia has offices in China, Hong Kong and Japan and provides services such as market research, trade show promotions and public relations to companies looking to develop their business in the Asia region.
The two-year-old firm relocates from Slapton Hill Farm, Towcester, with a view to expanding the UK office at Caswell’s business park from 2010.
Best’s founder and managing director Lisa Baldwin, who lives locally, said: “There’s a great mix of other companies at Caswell, with firms on hand along the corridor to provide such services as design and IT, and the support infrastructure here is fantastic. The views of the countryside are also stunning.”
Team HR, founded by managing director Debbie Reynolds in 2002, is relocating from an office in central Milton Keynes.
The company specialises in HR and employment law advice and support for small-to-medium enterprises in the UK; it also provide HR consultancy to public sector clients including NHS trust foundations and government agencies.
Debbie, who draws upon a network of specialist consultants in addition to her own team, said: “Caswell is ideally located for us, as my senior colleague and I live quite some distance from each other. Caswell is located halfway for us both, making it, when combined with the standard of the facility itself, a perfect space for collaborative work.
“The atmosphere at the park is great as well – there’s a vibrancy and energy about the place.”
The long-term aim of managing agent and facilities manager Fasset, which officially launched the park in July, is to provide serviced and managed space for up to 500 people. Currently there are 185 people on site.
Occupiers who have moved in include Diamond Hard Surfaces, IT Systems UK, Solutions Research, Nemisys, Web Control, Definition Media, Toddle About, Vycombe Arts, Fred Filer Bookeeping and Finch Business Solutions.
